I am an educational leader, speaker, trainer, and program developer passionate about helping people discover how they learn best and how they can grow through meaningful, engaging experiences. As the Department Head of Early Learning and Child Care at MaKami College, I have helped lead the development and growth of a rapidly expanding post-secondary program focused on preparing room-ready graduates for the field of early childhood education. My work centers on adult learning, leadership development, instructional strategy, faculty mentorship, and creating systems that support both student success and team growth. I am especially passionate about the concept of “Immersive Interest” — a framework exploring how deep engagement, curiosity, wandering focus, and evolving interests can become powerful drivers of learning, creativity, and leadership. Through speaking engagements, presentations, workshops, and writing, I explore how educators, leaders, and organizations can better support diverse ways of thinking and learning.
